Lovers of Basset Hounds, Felines and Other Dog Breeds Raise Funds
for BaRNI's Rescue Work, Vet Care Services and Unique Rescue Volunteer
Network, also, Needy Not Greedy Inc's projects that provide material
resources and a distribution center for rescues to share. For more

WHAT: Pet enthusiasts enjoy a fun-filled, elegant
evening of dining, dancing and camaraderie to celebrate the quirky,
lovable breed of dog with long ears and a distinct sense of smell,
the Basset Hound. The Neuter Ball raises funds for Basset Rescue Network
Inc. (BaRNI), a 501 ( c )(3) non-profit that provides a wide range
of services to bassets, felines and other dog breed; and Needy Not
Greedy Inc., a non-profit that collects and distributes needed resources
to rescue groups and shelters, and works to facilitate the adoption
of dogs directly from the shelter system through use of internet technology.

COST: Tickets are $100.00 each. (50 percent is tax-deductible).

PROCEEDS: Event proceeds raise much-needed funds
for BaRNI’s operating budget. BaRNI’s activities include
basset rescue; providing a healthy and loving environment to bassets
awaiting adoption at Daphneyland, its full-service boarding ranch
located 45 minutes north of Los Angeles; all vet care, including spay
and neuter procedures; a feral cat program to safely control the growth
of colonies of stray cats; its work to support affiliated all-breed
rescue organizations; and an all-breed rescue network that enables
volunteers to connect and support each other in what is often very

DETAILS: The Neuter Ball entertainment features jazz
vocalist GiGi Mackenzie, performing songs from her recently released
CD,“Skylark,” a collection of standards that includes
a duet with her mother, the late Gisele Mackenzie. CM Benefits Group
hosts live and silent auctions featuring autographed memorabilia,
collectors items, gift certificates, pet items, entertainment tickets
and many additional items. Formal attire is requested.
